VR Escape Room Games for VR Arcades & Game Centers
Planning to start a Virtual Reality Arcade? Or perhaps you already have a VR Arcade but are facing some software management issues? ARVI VR has a solution: they've developed a dedicated software platform specifically designed for easy distribution of VR Arcade games. We'll explain how this works in detail in this blog
Simple-to-Use Software Management System
ARVI VR is a VR Arcade software management system designed for easy implementation in a commercial setting to offer VR Arcade games. When running a VR Arcade, you'll quickly face the challenge of multiple players wanting to play different games simultaneously. You'd want to avoid the VR Arcade operator having to individually start or close each game for every player. With a VR Arcade software system, it's possible to control the different headsets and games remotely from a central location (such as a laptop or tablet). This allows the VR operator to assist multiple people simultaneously in a much more efficient manner
ARVI VR Games
Initially, ARVI VR focused on developing and distributing VR Escape Room games. These are games designed to allow the player to escape from somewhere. While in the real world you are limited to physical spaces (like trying to escape from a physical room), there are no such limits in virtual reality. For instance, a virtual reality escape room can also take place on an island or in space
ARVI VR has since developed a wide range of other games, such as action/shooting games. However, they all have one thing in common: all games are developed for Virtual Reality Arcade halls. Therefore, they can't be played at home; you must visit the VR Arcade to experience the games
The advantage of using a software management system like ARVI VR is that you pay directly for commercial use (the license) of the games. In a VR Arcade, it's crucial to have this license; otherwise, the games cannot officially be offered (commercially). Want to learn more about the use of VR game licenses? Which VR Hardware?
In a VR Arcade, it's essential to have high-end equipment. After all, customers come to your location because you offer the latest virtual reality experiences. For a VR Escape Room, it's important that the player can move freely, that the tracking is always accurate (even when, for instance, you're crouched on the floor), and that the resolution is sharp so you can clearly see what's happening on the screen. For these reasons, we recommend the HTC VIVE Pro 2 Full Kit for a VR Escape Room. This is a complete set with a VR headset, controllers, and sensors for tracking. If you want to allow the player even more freedom of movement, consider making the headset wireless. Add the HTC VIVE Wireless Pack to the headset and replace the cables with this wireless receiver
In addition to the virtual reality headset, you of course need a powerful PC and a spectator screen. For the PC, we recommend at least an RTX 3070 graphics card and an Intel Core i7 processor (for example our VR Arcade Certified Desktop PC). This ensures you get a powerful performance for the best VR experience. The spectator screen is meant for spectators, so they can watch along with the players. The most common size for this is 50 inches, but this can vary based on the play area you have available. (Tip: some VR Arcades also use a projector instead of a TV screen)
