Microsoft Trimble HoloTint

The Trimble HoloTint is a straightforward-to-attach sunshade accessory for the Microsoft HoloLens 2 and the Trimble XR10 that enhances and stabilizes the contrast of holograms in outdoor conditions or bright environments

The photochromic lens of the HoloTint automatically adjusts its tint level based on the UV rays in the ambient light, ensuring consistent contrast as the user moves between different lighting conditions. It improves the visibility and readability of holographic content, regardless of the environment, including natural sun and UV-radiating artificial lighting

The lens of the HoloTint has a scratch-resistant coating that is applied as part of the final steps in the manufacturing process and is made from strong acrylic that will not easily break or splinter if struck or dropped

The mounting brackets of the HoloTint are attached with screws on either side of the HoloLens 2 and can remain permanently affixed. The colored lens can simply be clicked into the attachments. It is also designed to securely fit in the existing HoloLens 2 carrying case, so the lens can remain attached even when the HoloLens is not in use.
