The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition offers the highest resolution currently available in the XR market, boasting an impressive 3840 x 3744 pixels and a density of 51 pixels per degree (PPD).
The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition features 51 PPD passthrough cameras with autofocus. This is higher than the passthrough cameras of the regular Varjo XR-4.
The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition is equipped with advanced eye-tracking, accurately following eye movements, significantly enhancing the interactive experience.
Previous Varjo models (VR-3, XR-3) required a Varjo Base subscription to use the headset. However, with the Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition, this is no longer necessary. This headset can be used and purchased without a subscription.
The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition requires a wired connection, meaning users are always physically connected to a PC via a cable. It is not possible to use the headset wirelessly.
For optimal performance of the Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition, a powerful PC is required, preferably with an RTX 4070 video card or an even more potent configuration.
Please note: to sun damage prevent, it's essential to ensure that the headset's lenses are not directly exposed to sunlight.

The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition represents the latest evolution in high-quality VR/XR headsets from Varjo. This impressive headset is equipped with a stunning 4K x 4K display (3840 x 3744 with 51 PPD) and offers a wide field of view of 120 x 105 degrees. What sets the Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition apart from other headsets is the integrated XR functionality. At the front of the glasses are passthrough cameras that can seamlessly project the real world, allowing virtual images to merge with reality. The main difference between the Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition and the standard Varjo XR-4 is that the Focal Edition is equipped with a 51 PPD passthrough camera with autofocus. This is a higher resolution than the regular one, which has a 33 PPD passthrough camera (without autofocus).
A standout feature of the Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition is the presence of an advanced 300 kpix LiDAR camera, combined with 200Hz eye-tracking. This combination allows for extremely accurate and smooth tracking of eye movements. Moreover, the headset uses inside-out tracking, which means that no external tracking sensors are needed in the environment. Can I use my Varjo headset without an internet connection?
By default, a Varjo headset needs to connect to the internet every 48 hours to verify the user license. By purchasing an Offline license or the Secure Edition, this bi-daily check is no longer necessary and the device can be used offline indefinitely.
