The latest PlayStation VR headset - PlayStation VR 2, abbreviated PSVR2 - has been announced and is expected on February 22, 2023. The PlayStation VR headset can be connected to PlayStation game consoles, such as PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The PlayStation VR 2 is expected to hit the market on February 22, 2023. This was announced by Sony in a recent blog post announcement. The PSVR2 can be connected to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The PSVR2 has an HDR resolution with an OLED screen. The resolution of the new headset is 2000 x 2040 pixels per eye. The OLED screen ensures that the gaming environment looks sharp and colorful. What's unique about the PlayStation VR 2 headset is that both the glasses and the controllers will have haptic feedback. This means that the glasses and the controllers can physically move with sound or other movements. Additionally, this can help reduce motion sickness.

PSVR is the only VR headset that works with the PlayStation game console. The PlayStation VR 2 is easily connected to a PS5 using the USB-C cable. The first-generation PSVR required a separate adapter to connect the camera. With the PSVR2, this adapter has been removed, meaning you only need to connect one cable to play with the headset. This makes it even easier to pick up the glasses, and you are less tied to cables, giving you more freedom of movement. This way, you are not distracted by the environment in which you are playing.

There are a number of unique and exclusive games available for the new PlayStation VR 2 headset. The biggest game coming out is Horizon: Call of The Mountain. Developers Guerrilla and Firesprite are working together to develop a whole new Horizon adventure that offers a completely unique experience. Games like Hello Neighbor, City Skylines, and Dark Pictures are also being adapted for VR for the new PSVR2 headset. Unfortunately, the old games for the first PSVR headset are not playable on the new PlayStation VR 2 glasses.

The controllers are included as standard with the PlayStation VR 2 headset. These are a new type of controllers, Sony Touch controllers. The controllers have a unique new design and promise precise hand tracking and haptic feedback. Sony has already announced that it will release a bundle with the exclusive PlayStation game Horizon: Call of The Mountain. In addition to the starter pack, you also get a voucher code for the game. Sony has also confirmed that another accessory will be released, namely the PlayStation VR2 Sense Controller charging station. With this, you can charge both controllers without extra cords. It is not yet known whether more bundles or accessories will be available.
