The pass-through camera of the Meta Quest 3 has been upgraded with higher image quality and full color. This makes the headset better suited for mixed reality applications.
The Meta Quest 3 is retroactively compatible with games for the Meta Quest 2.
The Meta Quest 3 houses a newer version of the Snapdragon XR2 processor. This processor can play games at high quality and smoothly.
The Quest 3 is a standalone VR headset. This means that the headset relies on a (built-in) battery. This battery can drain while playing, after which you need to recharge the headset.
A standalone headset is always less powerful than a PC-driven VR headset. However, you can connect the Meta Quest 3 to a PC with a Oculus Link cable.
