With the HP Reverb G2 Omnicept Edition, HP has built a bridge between software developers and professional VR users. The Omnicept Edition is an upgrade of the well-known and popular HP Reverb G2 headset. The Omnicept Edition offers a built-in eye-tracker and pupil meter from Tobii®, a heart rate monitor for collecting biometric data, and a comprehensive facial camera.
In addition to these extra features, HP Omnicept allows a direct link to be made between data collection and processing. With the HMD, you collect various user data (for example, eye measurements, heart rate measurement, facial movements), which are then translated into usable data by the Omnicept software. The HP SDK is freely available, visit the HP Omnicept page for the available downloads.
Features
- Foveated display: With integrated eye-tracking from Tobii®, this HMD can distinguish the user's line of sight, reducing GPU load and improving image quality within the user's foveal area, thereby enhancing VR realism.
- Motion tracking: With four cameras and internal sensors for position detection, you can now track more of your arm movements. Jump directly into virtual reality without additional peripherals.
- Motion controllers: With a smaller and more ergonomic design, our controllers are natural and comfortable to hold. Plus, take advantage of excellent tracking performance with integrated Bluetooth® connection.
- Cable: The new and improved 6-meter cable connects directly to the headset and is thinner, lighter, and longer than ever, allowing you to move freely.
